The New Orleans Council on Aging believes that a productive workplace should be free of any type of harassment including those sexual in nature. Sexual harassing behavior includes unwelcomed conduct such as:
Sexual Advances
Requests for Sexual Favors
Offensive Touching
Verbal or Physical Conduct Sexual in Nature
Incidents involving any type of sexual harassment should be reported to the employee's supervisor who will report the incident to the Executive Director as soon as possible. The Executive Director or his / her designee will investigate the incident and determine the best course of corrective action.
The agency will also attempt to protect employees, to the extent possible, from harassment, by non-employees in the workplace, including clients and suppliers.
